Associate Director of Sales
The Company
Energetic new San Francisco-based software and consulting company looking for outstanding sales executives with experience across a broad range of industries. The company is an early-stage startup with a brilliant product development team, a proven business model and an innovative new mobile technology that will launch its beta version this summer. The leaders of the company have a track record of past success, impressive academic credentials, and have served in senior roles at both startups and established multibillion-dollar companies. The Position
The company is seeking proven sales people to join their existing sales force. You will identify new prospects, set up introductory meetings, and demonstrate the software to prospects in sales meetings that usually last 30-90 minutes. You will also be responsible for consistent follow-though to guide the prospect to the end of the sales cycle. The position reports to the head of sales.
Realistic on-target-earnings will be 80k-100k in the first year, with the potential to earn two or even three times that amount for the superstars. Please note that this is a commission-based sales job that pays out a percentage of each sale. Bonuses are also awarded based on the number of sales.
This is a flexible, telecommuting/contractor opportunity. We are looking for contractors who want to sell to businesses in their local area – that means you can live near any major metropolitan area in North America, and will work from your home office.
Experience & Qualifications
All candidates must have strong, provable sales record, and must have experience selling five to six-figure products or services to senior executives. We’re looking for candidates who have a track record of successfully selling consulting engagements, big ticket products, technologies, and/or memberships via in-person demonstrations, followed by email and phone conversations afterwards to close the deal. We’re especially interested in candidates with sales experience inone or more of the following industries: hospitality, tourism, travel, higher education institutions, municipalities, and large sporting or entertainment event management. Experience selling to chief marketing officers or chief administrative officers is especially beneficial.
Must be smart, thorough, and hungry to build business – this is a pure sales job, so we need candidates with outstanding people skills who love to sell. That means candidates should be equally comfortable following up on hot leads or picking up the phone to make cold calls to identify new leads. Ideal candidates should enjoy meeting new people, and should genuinely care about helping clients; we’re looking for warm, friendly sales people who can inspire trust and who are driven to help clients solve their problems. Must have a college degree, and must be able to pass a background check of references.
